The 2024-2025 Varsity Girls Basketball season ende

The 2024-2025 Varsity Girls Basketball season ended this past Friday night. They finished 15-9 overall and 12-4 tied for 2nd in the Lake City Conference.After a tough loss in the regional game, Coach Ballard said, “We’ve had highs and lows, but you’ve stayed united and worked well as a team! This game tonight…this season…the game of basketball…none of that defines you…win or lose, we have the greatest gift ever in Jesus!”Thank you to our 3 seniors Sophia Hiemstra, Emily Sorensen, and Jianna Tartaglia for your leadership!Thank you to Coaches Todd Ballard, Nile Finney, and FCS alums Nate Fettig and Annabelle Schmidt for your investment into our girls. Not only in the game of basketball, but also spiritually in your encouragement to them. This team put in so much hard work from the first day of practice with some new assistant coaches and they left it all on the court on Friday night. The drive, determination, and togetherness this team had was strong! The girls program at FCS is thriving and we saw so much support from the fans. The 2024-2025 JV Boys Basketball season ended last week. They had a fantastic 19-3 record!Thank you to Coaches Dave and Josiah Karmas! Working with 16 boys is quite the challenge, but each of them grew in their basketball skills from the first practice back in November til the last game.
